“The Ballinrobe Town Hall has been on a major high since November when it received €4,594,600 from the Department of Rural and Community Development to convert the hotel and entertainment complex into a new town hall. An additional €278,513 was allocated in June from the department. The project is being undertaken in conjunction with the South West Mayo Development Company. Chairman of the Town Hall committee Michael Sweeney welcomed Mr Varadkar to Ballinrobe and outlined the history of the iconic building.”
