The Campaign to Rebuild Ballinrobe Town Hall is delighted to have been chosen by Ballinrobe Folk Choir as the beneficiaries of their eagerly-awaited annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 18, in St Mary’s Church at 8pm.
“This Christmas Concert by Ballinrobe Folk Choir is one of the big events in Ballinrobe each year – for many people, it marks the real start of Christmas, and gets the community into the festive mood,” said Michael Sweeney, chairperson, Ballinrobe Town Hall.
“A number of local organisations have rallied around the campaign to rebuild Ballinrobe Town Hall. The Folk Choir have always been supportive of worthwhile initiatives in Ballinrobe and we are very grateful to them for choosing us as the beneficiaries on this occasion.”
There is no admission fee for the event as donations are optional, but the local community has been very generous over the years.
The Campaign to Rebuild Ballinrobe Town Hall has now raised €133,000 locally, and aims to generate a further €267,000 to reach the local contribution target of €400,000. The full rebuild of the hall is estimated to cost €1.3 million.
